A Milepost

or should that be kilometer post? Either way it marks an accomplishment. Was busy laying more track over the past few weeks, especially this weekend. And finally this evening the last section of the mainline for KBS 650 is complete! A solid line of rail now runs from Kaiserlautern staging, into Enkenbach, onto Neuhemsbach and into and back out of Langmeil staging. 

For now it is just the mainline, the spurs and passing siding in Neuhembach are just cleared roadbed and only 1 of the planned 4 staging tracks in Langmeil, but just a soon as I can connect up the track feeder wires I can really let the trains run!

Have sketched a few more scenery ideas onto the foam. Even broke down and bought some Woodland Scenics poplar trees so I can figure out how to build my own. 

If I can get things wired up ok by this weekend, I'll try and post some pictures and maybe a video as well.
